Review Copy Policy

Textbook Review Policy

If you are an instructor and would like to review Understanding the Modern Culture Wars for possible course adoption, we will send the book to you on review for 60 days without prepayment. You will have 60 days to review the book (from date of receipt) and determine whether you would choose to use it for your course.

Within the first 30 days we ask that you contact us with your decision regarding your plans for the book. Unless you make other arrangements with us, after 30 days an invoice will be mailed to you with payment for the book due within 30 days. Your choices are the following:

  1. If you choose to adopt the book for a course, and your school or bookstore will be ordering at least 10 copies, you may keep the copy sent to you to use as your desk copy, free of charge. Simply notify us of your plans and give us a date by which an order will be placed, and we will credit your account accordingly when we receive the order for 10 or more copies.
  2. If you choose not to use this book as a required text for your course, you may return the book in resalable condition and we will credit your account.
  3. Even if you choose not to use the book as a required textbook for your course, or if you damage it in some way, you may purchase the book for your own personal library and pay the invoice.

Do not request a review copy unless you agree to this policy.

In order to request a review copy, send a letter or an email with the following information:

·     Your name, phone number, and email address

·     Your educational institution’s name, and shipping address (review copy must be sent to school address)

·     Course title

·     Expected course size

 

Review Policy for Bookstores, or for Publications

If you would like to review Understanding the Modern Culture Wars for sale in a bookstore, or if you would like to review it for a publication that has a significant distribution, we will send the book to you on review for 60 days without prepayment. You will have 60 days to review the book from date of receipt.

Within the first 30 days, we ask that you contact us with your decision regarding your plans for the book. If we do not hear from you in 30 days, an invoice will be mailed to you with payment for the book due within 30 days. Your choices are the following:

  1. You may pay the invoice and keep the book.
  2. You may return the book in resalable condition and we will credit your account.

In order to request a review copy, send a letter or email with the following information:

·     Your name, shipping address, phone number, and email address

·     Title of your business or organization

·     Purpose for the review copy request

·     Title and circulation of the publication for which you are considering writing a review (if applicable)

·     Description of bookstore customer base (if applicable)
